Do you ever find yourself saying things like this?
“I don’t feel like I’m moving fast enough”
“I feel like I’m behind”
“I’m not where I want to be yet”
This is a common struggle that comes up for many of my clients, no matter what stage of life they are in. If this resonates with you, you are not alone in feeling this way.
LOVE NOTE FOR YOU WHO THINK THIS WAY
Our minds are always slipping back into old narratives and beliefs that we are never good enough, and “moving fast enough” is also another form of that.
- Building self-love and faith is a huge part of how we overcome these toxic narratives and beliefs.
Be nice to yourself. Trust in the goodness that is available to you and anyone else who is willing to receive it.
- Also, rather than trying to ignore or override these thoughts, think about how you would FEEL if you thought you were going at a pace that was “fast enough”.
For example, would you feel calm if you believed you were going fast enough? If that’s the case, then find ways that you can elicit that feeling today. How can you feel calm now, the way you would feel if you felt that you were going at the “right pace”.
You can take yourself to nature, listen to a soothing meditation, or take a nice long shower.
- Lastly, always connect the body with how you want to feel. You will “get there faster” this way
